Music Director: The Heart of Every Music-Related Stuff

Posted in Crap by nmutiara on 2008/09/28

A music director is a position that you can meet at every music-related stuff, such as film-making, radio broadcasting, band, etc.

I found some interesting articles about Music Director.

In conclusion, the main task of the music director is to select suitable songs to be heard by the audience and to ensure that the audience enjoy the songs selected.

It sounds pretty easy, doesn’t it?

Well, assume it’s easy :P

“Suitable” in the context above means a lot of things, such as:

  • suitable with time, place, performers (if any) and the audience
  • suitable with the collections provided
  • suitable with the budget (?)

The songs that will be heard by the audience must be in good quality, of course. After all, the purpose of showing music to the audience is to entertain.

The Best Photocopying Room in NTU, Ever! XD

Posted in NTU, Singapore by nmutiara on 2008/09/17

Self photocopying seems to be simple. However, if you don’t know how to customize the settings to fit your own need, you will end up in trial and error effort which usually cost a lot more. To know how to customize the photocopying machine, you should ask the counter nearby. Asking the counter nearby will be another work, although it’s just a matter of communication :(

Some people who are doubtful about how to photocopy will use trial and error effort instead of asking the counter nearby [especially when the people staying at the counter is... dunno..].

Such kind of people in NTU should have gone to

Library 2,

where a woman initiatively helps the customers who seem confused with photocopying stuff. In other words, if you seem troubled with photocopying, she will approach to offer some help. :)

Don’t Open NTU Webmail Page in Library Computers

Posted in Computer, Internet, NTU, Singapore by nmutiara on 2008/09/15

If you access NTU E-mail account from one of the library computers,

don’t open webmail!

Instead,

open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

You don’t need to sign in to check your NTU e-mail account if you use Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 in library computers!

This method is usable but NTU CITS does not seem to publicise much about this. The library notice on library computers mentions that all files will be wiped out from library computer once a user is logged off.

So, what I’m trying to say is… the safety of checking NTU E-mail using this method is unknown.

One thing to wonder: what are the library computers doing after you type your usernames and passwords?
