Waldstein and Appassionata

Beethoven composed Waldstein Sonata when his ears were going to lose their function… But he still had hope because he had his close friend, Waldstein, who had arranged lesson with Haydn.
[no link? hahaha...]

So… that means Waldstein Sonata may sound like Haydn’s composition with some pedaling added…?

Perhaps this was what Beethoven wanted to tell to Waldstein through the Sonata…
“Thanks for letting me have lesson with Haydn. I give you this sonata, which is based on that lesson too. Oh, and btw, I’m going to be deaf. But I believe I still have my ears fully functional.”

When Beethoven made Appassionata, his ears’ condition was getting worse. Perhaps he wanted to scream, “Gimme back my ears!!” that time…
